* The Bottom Line...
***************************************************
Use a reliable Spyware Removal software...
There are an awful lot of spyware removers out there today.  And they
all claim to do amazing things, including "make your PC run like new again".
All hype aside, my preference is to use a tool that has been around for a while...
one that is tried and true.  The tool I recommend using is AdAware.

AdAware has been around almost since the beginning of spyware on the
internet as we know it today.  It is a proven and reliable product.
And best of all, there is a free version in addition to the
"Plus" and "Pro"  versions which are modestly priced and offer even more
features, convenience and more "set it and forget it" operation.

As mentioned in the video, if you use the free version of AdAware, you
will need to remember to run it on a regular basis.  Figure on running a
scan once a week at least.  If you would prefer to have a more automated
version of AdAware, they do offer a Plus and a Pro version that will
function more automatically (much like your antivirus software).

As we have said for years, keeping your system in good running condition
these days requires AntiVirus software, a good Personal Firewall and a
reliable AntiSpyware software.

If you don't mind running AdAware manually every week, then the Free Version
of AdAware will be just what you need.

******** APPENDIX - Handy How-To Tips **********

  * How To Boot into Safe Mode

Shut the computer down so that the power is off.

Turn the computer on, wait 1 second and begin pressing the F8 key
on the keyboard, once every second repeatedly. Do this until
the Windows Startup Menu appears. If you get a keyboard
error, press F1 to resume and then continue pressing the
F8 key once every second, or your PC may tell you to press another key for BIOS setup.

Select Safe Mode from the Windows Startup Menu, then press
the Enter key on the keyboard.

Windows will then boot into Safe Mode.
NOTE: This may take longer than a normal boot.

At the end of the boot process a dialog box will appear
informing you that Windows is in Safe Mode. Click OK on this dialog box.

Windows is now in Safe Mode.

If you miss hitting the F8 at the right time, Windows will boot
normally and you will not see the "Safe Mode" message.  In this
case, start from the top of these instructions until you get the
boot menu screen where you can choose "Safe Mode".  This can be
a little tricky the first time you do it.
