Greetings from The VACM Team,

In this issue:
------------------------------------
- "Life Is Beautiful" virus deletes all your files?

***************************************************
* The Bottom Line...
***************************************************
There is an email going around which may have a subject line
similar to this:

 "Life Is Beautiful"

The body of the email is either in Spanish or English.  The
English version of the email goes something like this:

 A new virus is circulating!!!!
This information came from Microsoft, and Norton.
Please, transmit it to anybody that you know that has access to the
 Internet.
If you receive an e-mail about an offensive PowerPoint presentation
entitled "Life is beautiful.pps" DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES and delete it immediately.  If you open that file a
message will appear on your screen "Now it is too late, your life is no
longer beautiful" after that you'll lose EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the
person who sent it will have access to your name, e-mail address, and
 password.
It is a new virus started to run Saturday night.  Antivirus software
cannot destroy the virus.  The virus was created by a hacker that
denominates himself as the owner of life and wants to destroy PCs
domestic, and fight against Microsoft in justice!  Because of this
it comes disguised with a .pps extension.  He fights in justice by the
 patent of the Windows-XP.

SEND THIS E-MAIL TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.

***************************************************
* What You Should Do...
***************************************************
1. Delete the email.  It is nothing more than another HOAX.

Best Regards,

******** APPENDIX - Handy How-To Tips **********

  * How To Boot into Safe Mode

Shut the computer down so that the power is off.

Turn the computer on, wait 1 second and begin pressing the F8 key
on the keyboard, once every second repeatedly. Do this until
the Windows Startup Menu appears. If you get a keyboard
error, press F1 to resume and then continue pressing the
F8 key once every second, or your PC may tell you to press another key for BIOS setup.

Select Safe Mode from the Windows Startup Menu, then press
the Enter key on the keyboard.

Windows will then boot into Safe Mode.
NOTE: This may take longer than a normal boot.

At the end of the boot process a dialog box will appear
informing you that Windows is in Safe Mode. Click OK on this dialog box.

Windows is now in Safe Mode.

If you miss hitting the F8 at the right time, Windows will boot
normally and you will not see the "Safe Mode" message.  In this
case, start from the top of these instructions until you get the
boot menu screen where you can choose "Safe Mode".  This can be
a little tricky the first time you do it.
